A boar-predictor will appear in Kyiv at Euro 2012
In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, on the eve of Euro 2012, the city authorities announced plans to give a place of honor in the fan zone to a football connoisseur, a soothsayer boar. The animal will predict the results of football matches every day, the city administration said today.
The fan zone will be located on Khreshchatyk and Maidan. Earlier it became known that the boar already had a competitor: in the footsteps of the world-famous octopus Paul, the inhabitant of the Alushta zoo, the octopus Pavlik, followed. It is not yet known whether the predictions of the marine life will be as accurate as those of its German counterpart.
Recall that during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Octopus Paul, an inhabitant of the Sea Life Aquarium in the German city of Oberhausen, absolutely accurately predicted the results of eight matches involving the German national team. The animal died in October 2010, and Spanish fans even wanted to buy the clam's ashes. Then the Spanish national team celebrated the victory at the World Cup, which explains the intention of the Red Fury fans.
Bloggers are already predicting that if the Kyiv boar fails to correctly predict the outcome of football matches, then, for sure, there will be fans who want to let the animal into lard.
