Mountain Altai Hockey players played in the NHL amateur championship
Representatives of the Altai Republic visited the Gala Match of the Night Hockey League in Sochi, whose game was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The Bochkari hockey team from the Altai Republic became a member of the V All -Russian Hockey Festival among amateur teams in the Division of the 40+ League of Future Champions. In total, about 70 subjects of the Federation were represented in the anniversary season of the night hockey league.
According to the member of the Board of the Hockey Federation of the Republic of Altai Arzhan Kydrachev, the team of the region, having taken first place in its subgroup between hockey players from the Kursk, Sakhalin regions and Chuvashia, took eighth place among 32 participating teams. “This is an excellent result for our region, since training takes place only in winter, there is no ice all year round. The guys left the group stage, having beaten the strongest hockey players of the country, and participated in the playoffs. It is worth a lot, ”he said.
All participants in the festival of hockey amateur teams lived in the Olympic village, played at large sports facilities of Sochi – “Big”, “Ice”, “Washing” and “Snowflake”.
On May 10, at the Gala Match of the Night Hockey League, the head of state Vladimir Putin played in the arena of the Olympic Ice Palace Big for the team Stars of the Night Hockey League. Olympic champions were included in it: Vyacheslav Fetisov, Pavel Bure, Alexey Kasatonov, Viktor Shalimov and other legends of domestic sports. Traditionally, the team’s rivals became the “Night Hockey League” team, this year Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu played for the national team.
The match was attended by guests and finalists of the NHL season. The stands were occupied by amateur hockey players from all over Russia, including our fellow countrymen. In the game, Vladimir Putin scored a goal in the fourth minute of the second period, and also carried out two assists. The President of Russia is actively engaged in hockey and for the fourth time takes part in the NHL Gala Matche as the captain of the Zvezta team, the REGNUM news agency said in a statement.
The Bochkari hockey team was founded in 2012 to participate in republican hockey competitions among amateur teams, and then the qualifying games of the Night Hockey League in the Altai Republic. The team consists of players of different professions from ordinary rural workers to civil servants, and everyone unites all – love for hockey. In the season 2014-2015, the team participated in the qualifying tournament and took third place.
The Hockey Federation of the Altai Republic was created in 2008, at present in the region six hockey teams with a puck – one in Aktash, two in Maima and three teams train in Gorno -Altaysk.Last year, the Hockey Federation of the Altai Republic was able to get equipment for children involved in hockey with a puck. At a meeting of the board, a presentation of hockey equipment was held. The Russian Hockey Federation provided form and sports equipment, presented it with the president of the organization, the eminent hockey player, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, member of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Vladislav Tretyak.
