Stadium Trud in Serpukhov welcomed the young players of the region

A football tournament among children's teams for the prizes of the Altair sports and patriotic club with the support of the city administration was held in Serpukhov on August 27 at the Trud stadium. The competition was attended by young football players from cities Aleksin, Yegorievsk, Kashira, Protvino, Serpukhov, Stupino and Chekhov. The lot divided the eight teams into two subgroups, in which the play-offs were held in a round-robin system each against each.

The teams that took the first and second places in the subgroups advanced to the final part of the competition. In the first place, the teams made their way: 1st place – Master Saturn (Yegoryevsk), 2nd place – Oka (Aleksin). In the second subgroup: 1st place – Zvezda (Serpukhov), 2nd place – STS (Kashira). The winners fought for the first and second places, and the second prize-winners for bronze medals. In the match Saturn – Zvezda the score was 3:0 in favor of Yegoryevsk players, and they deservedly celebrated the victory in the tournament. Their colleagues from the Serpukhov Zvezda climbed to the second step of the podium. The bronze medal match between STS and Oka ended with a minimal margin in favor of athletes from Kashira – 1:0. All winners were awarded team cups, sets of medals and diplomas.
