Review and memory test Crucial Ballistix Sport LT

Recently, Crucial has been seized by seven -mini steps not only in the market of solid -state drives, but also in the RAM market, and for this all the necessary conditions have been created in the form of an excellent warranty period, attractive price and balanced characteristics. All this is not by chance, because behind Crucial is one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers of Micron, whose products are just sold in the consumer market under the Crucial brand.

Ballistix Sport LT
The last novelty in the field of RAM is the DDR4 modules of the updated Ballistix Sport LT series with white and gray radiators. Memory is available both in the form of single modules and up to 32GB with sets. The clock frequency, voltage and timings are the same for the entire Ballistix Sport LT – 2400MHz, 1.2V, CL16 line. Under the radiators of white or gray colors, Micron memory chips are hidden. The manufacturer's warranty is 10 years.

Appearance and characteristics
The article was attended by two Memory Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport LT with a volume of 8GB each. The modules are traditionally supplied in a plastic blister, the sticker shows the minimum characteristics of the modules. As noted above, the memory frequency is 2400MHz, the Tying of CL16, and the voltage is 1.2V. Such a voltage allows us to hope for a good accelerated potential of memory, which is to be checked in the near future. By the way, a little earlier the test has already got a set of memory of Crucial Ballistix Elite series, which was able to work at a frequency of 2933MHz without problems, the corresponding material can be found here.

Memory radiators are not too large, which makes it compatible with the absolute majority of processor coolers.

Test stand:
Motherboard-Asus Z170-K S1151
Processor-Intel Core i5-6600k
Kuler – Intel Box
Drum – SSD Corsair Force GS 128GB
Power supply-Zalman ZM500-GSII 500W
Operating system – Windows 10

Testing
@2400MHZ, CL16, 1.2V
The motherboard launches memory with standard settings, but after activating the XMP profile, everything falls into place. The memory is steadily launched and works at the frequency declared by the manufacturer: 2400MHz, timings 16-16-16-39.

The results of memory testing at a frequency of 2400MHz in the AIDA64 utility:

@2600MHZ, CL16, 1.2V
We raise the memory frequency to 2600MHz, leave the timings and tension the same. The system starts with half a turn, the flight is normal.

The results of memory testing at a frequency of 2600MHz in the AIDA64 utility:

@2800MHZ, CL16, 1.2V
Next, raise the frequency to 2800MHz, still do not touch the timings and tension. And again, there was no problem with the launch, the check for stability passed without failures.

The results of memory testing at a frequency of 2800MHz in the AIDA64 utility:

@3000MHZ, CL16, 1.3V
The psychological mark of 3000MHz was not taken the first time, however, with an increase in voltage to 1.3V, it submitted to the Ballistix Sport LT memory modules.
