The House of the Dragon series will tell about the life of Westeros 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It will again be about the struggle for the Iron Throne, this time a civil war will break out between the ancestors of Daenerys – Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Aegon Targaryen. The script was based on the first volume of George Martin's book Fire and Blood.
The series' showrunners include Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik. The latter will direct the pilot episode. The music for the new series will again be written by Ramin Djawadi, the author of the title theme of Game of Thrones.
