That's how we ended up on Semyon Budyonny – everything worked out here: the price, which is important – after all, pensioners on this cruise were entitled to a discount, and the route and time! What can I say – it was another fairy tale! And we did not regret at all that we chose this ship! The time, full of excursions, entertainment programs, and just talking about life with new acquaintances, sitting on the deck and looking at the most beautiful Volga landscapes, this time has melted away unnoticed. And only a light, light sadness remained, the sadness of memories of the future?
But it seemed that we had a lot of time left, because the cruise was probably one of the longest – this is from June 7 to June 28! And yet, we missed it! Well, let's be optimistic, let's wish ourselves health and money in order to finally achieve the desired result in the future! This, of course, is a utopia, but the main thing for a person is to believe, and as long as we are alive, we believe!
This is all the lyrics, and now about who I would like to thank for a wonderful vacation. First of all, this is Captain Gromov Alexander Alexandrovich. He, as the captain, is responsible for everything that happens on the ship, he is the king and the law here, and he is personally responsible for the life of every person on board. After all, no one has canceled the danger on the water, especially since this applies to the Volga, where in places it spills like the sea – without end and edge! And Alexander Alexandrovich, we think, like no one else, corresponded to this title! Both in appearance and behavior – no familiarity, strictness and at the same time tact, goodwill and willingness to answer a stupid question. And what about his decision to cancel part of the route in Lake Onega for security reasons! After all, it is clearly an unpopular decision, which is still unknown how the passengers, and even the authorities, will perceive it.But he decided and did not back down from the decision, because he is a CAPTAIN!
Well, we got one extra day in Petrozavodsk! I don’t know about others, but we were here for the first time and were simply fascinated by this city! After all, the north – and the whole city is buried in lush greenery! And beautiful straight streets! And a beautiful waterfront! And also the Kivach waterfall and the children's Karelian ensemble Constellation! All this is just a fairy tale! So it is not known whether we lost or we were very lucky!
In fact, the entire crew of the vessel deserves, of course, praise and gratitude. Courtesy, courtesy and no rudeness. A small episode, but worthy of attention: upon boarding, we were simply offered help in carrying luggage and they really helped! As for the restaurant and cuisine, we never had any questions, everything is at a high level!

As for the kitchen, which is also within her competence, I expressed my opinion, but she also manages the organization of tourist services, and these are excursions, artistic teams on board, animators, maids and another wagon and a small cart of all sorts of other trifles. And all this household this time was in charge of Alexy Igorievich Barabasevich, a very pleasant young man, sympathetic, friendly, ready to help at any moment. All passengers have only positive feedback about it. And it’s even more pleasant that we got to know him a little – in the summer of 2017, he worked in the same position on the ship Georgy Zhukov, and, judging by how high the organization of tourist activities was on Semyon Budyonny, he succeeded in this field here too.
There was one more surprise for us – this time a wonderful musician, multi-instrumentalist Igor Vasilyev, again played for the passengers on board. We got acquainted with his work last year at Georgy Zhukov, and he made a strong impression on us. Apparently, Semyon Budyonny was not supposed to have it – and here is such a pleasant surprise!
Good meaningful and thematic concerts were given by pianist Vyacheslav Sheverdin and performer of Russian romances Lyudmila Andreeva. We also went to their concerts all the time, as well as to St. Petersburg operetta artists Alexander Beskov and Olga Popova.
In short, without leaving the cabin, we visited as many concerts as you can’t master at home even in a year. Amazing!
It is worth noting another children's animator Valeria. There was no need to invite her to her children's room – the children were going there themselves. Including our grandson. It is very convenient: moms and dads are at a concert, and the child is also at work and under supervision.

We also had a good maid Natasha. A very sweet, conscientious and hardworking young woman. God bless her.
