Museum of the History of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant
Students of the 7th grade of MAOU “Secondary School No. 24 of Chelyabinsk” visited the Museum of the History of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant.
The CMC Museum is one of the best among museums in industrial enterprises in Russia. It occupies seven halls with a total area of more than 800 square meters, which presents exhibits telling about the history of construction, the formation of a metallurgical giant, its main industries – coke, and inflammatory, steel, rolling, social development of the enterprise, labor merits and awards of Chelyabinsk metallurgists.
The total fund of the museum is 15 thousand storage units.
The Museum of the History of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant began with the office of the factory’s history of the history of the museum in 1968 in 1968 in 1993.
The museum’s halls show the history of the construction of the plant during the Great Patriotic War, the structure and technological chain, the plant currently, as well as existing models, products of products, layouts of the units, gifts to the plant, photographs, historical documents and much more.
Employees of the Museum of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant prepared an exposition telling about the contribution of Chelyabinsk metallurgists to the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
At eleven stands, wartime household items, awards, photographs, memoirs of war participants are presented.
In the Museum of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, which is part of the Mechel company, adolescents got acquainted with the expositions dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the enterprise and the implementation of the project of a universal rail-filling camp.
The expositions present stages of development of production, unique evidence of the achievements of metallurgists of the CMC.
The children saw the field objects of the first stainless steel, made in 1962, the first heat -resistant steel, produced in 1958, and the first roll of stainless steel production of 1978. They also learned about many unique and significant events of the history of the CMC, captured on the pages of photo albums and stands of the museum of the plant.
The children were satisfied with the excursion.
Students were able to get acquainted in detail with the history of the plant, unique exhibits telling about its main industries, labor merits and awards of Chelyabinsk metallurgists.
