The team of Togliatti State University Togliatti Racing Team (TRT)-participants in the international engineering and sports project Formula Student (FS)-became the best Russian team in the Formula Student East competition in Hungary. For Togliatti, these were the first European competitions, the level of which is incomparably higher than many others. TRT took 13th place among 29 teams, while bypassing all Russian, Ukrainian and a number of European teams in the general ranking. According to experts, for the first European exit is a good start, but all further victories can only be associated with an increase in the budget of the team from Togliatti.

Togliatti Racing Team – the only team in the Volga region, behind which there are already 4 sportswear of own production – participated in the Formula Student East competitions in Hungary with its fourth Black Bullet car. Obtaining a “ticket” to such competitions is a serious step for any team not only because the level of European teams is the highest in the world (even American and Japanese engineers are inferior to them), but because the competition participants manage to get a lot of knowledge by the level of the machine and By the level of project protection in static disciplines.

The TSU team traveled with the support of five sponsors to one of the largest FS stages in Eastern Europe, and this is not only Togliatti companies. In particular, it is a company engaged in the production of unified units of units for domestic and foreign cars and having representative offices in Poland and Hungary,-a factory of Val-Rising transmission details; The engineering company SEGULA Technology Rush LLC (Segula Technologies Russia LLC), pre-GSM JSC, TLT-Prof LLC. Going on a trip, the team hoped to become at least the fifteenth, and in the end took 13th place, bypassing in the overall standings all Russian, Ukrainian and a number of European teams.At the same time, they lost only to teams included in the first hundred world rating. So, the team Formula Student MSTU named after N.E. Bauman Bauman Racing Team took 14th place. Formula Electric Madi of the Moscow Road State Technical University (MADI) became the 15th. Formula Student RUDN FS Rudn in 20th place. The Formula Student Formula Dream Russia Mami was in 21st place. According to the representative of the Formula Student Russia Organizing Committee Vladislav Krutov, who passed the Hungarian stage of the Formula Student international competitions, called Formula Student East, became debut for all Russian teams. This year, 29 teams of the average European level of training gathered at the competitions (the intersection with a more prestigious stage held in Austria, where the strongest teams headed). 6 teams went from Russia to the stage: four from Moscow, one of Togliatti and St. Petersburg.

– As a result of hard work for four days, the TSU team was able to overtake the rest of the Russian teams and escape to 13th place in the overall standings, – Says Vladislav Krutov. – For the TSU team, this is a good start at foreign stages, which brought a lot of new experience and understanding the tasks. Now they have to prepare well for the Russian stage of the competition, speak on it and start working on a new machine, with which it will be possible to take part in various international stages of the competition.And this task will be very difficult for the team, will require a lot of work and several times increased budgets for the development and construction of the machine, since the level of strong European teams is very high, and so far no team from Russia has been able to compete with them on equal terms.

Recall that for the TRT, the third international stage of the competition, which is held in Russia, which for the first time for FS will be held in the Samara region, in Togliatti from September 8 to 11, 2016, will be home. Togliatti State University is a general partner of the future stage.
