Penza athletes took prizes in athletics competitions

The championship of the Volga Federal District in Athletics took place from January 14 to January 16, 2022 in Ulyanovsk. It was attended by athletes from Penza.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Penza Region, the competition took place among girls and boys under 18 years of age and juniors and juniors up to 20 years. The regional national team included: Lilia Zaitseva, Polina Karnatova, Makar Kochetkov, Vadim Dametkin, Daria Krugova, Ksenia Fedotova, Anastasia Vesaskova and Ksenia Inzhuvatova.

Polina Karnatova won a silver medal in the final race 60 meters and at the same time set a personal record of 7.88 seconds. Lilia Zaitseva, in 200 meters running among girls under 18, won with a result of 25.54 seconds. Daria Krugova took 3rd place in 200 m running among juniors under 20 years old, showing a high sports result 25.88 s. Polina Karnova took 4th place, and Anastasia Vesaskova 5th place.
