Learning to play the guitar

The Krasny Khimik Music School is one of the oldest in Moscow. The school recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

Guitar – modern musical romance

For many musicians, the guitar shares the loneliness of the soul, warms in the cold season. I want to hug her gently. It allows you to open the soul, convey emotions. After all, throughout the existence of this instrument, it was associated with emotions expressed in music: romance, love passion, cruelty and tenderness. She is able to change the mood, light a fire in the hearts, conquer the listeners with a melody or a riff … Therefore, it is difficult to imagine a modern band without a guitarist.

The guitar is considered one of the most accessible and attractive instruments. It's easy to travel with, easy to learn, and doesn't take up as much space as a drum kit or piano. But most importantly, it covers the widest repertoire: guitar classics, transcriptions of academic music, rock, jazz, latin and much more. The guitar is able to express the depth of feelings and thoughts of any person who touches it, who wants to study its features and learn how to play it – to become a Master.

Learning to play the guitar

How we differ from other schools:
Practical lessons with a teacher are individual. Lesson duration – 1 hour!

Who are our courses designed for?

We have training options for different age groups and for people of different skill levels. There are guitar courses for beginner young musicians, there are methods for adults, including beginners. There are specialized programs to improve the skills of experienced guitarists. Teachers will determine your level, and in a short time you will learn to play the guitar.

Directions of study

Decide which guitar courses you would like to attend. You can practice classical, acoustic or electric guitar. It is possible to master these tools both simultaneously and sequentially.

What is the difference between classical, acoustic and electric guitar?

The classical guitar has a wider neck and nylon strings. It is easier to play on it, since the strings are softer, more pliable, they are easier to press against the neck. Its sound is soft, gentle, clean – the overdubs sound more distinct. The disadvantage is a wide neck, which is difficult to clamp at first.

The neck of an acoustic guitar is narrower, and thanks to the metal strings, the fight sounds bright, distinct, colorful. Among the shortcomings of this guitar, the close arrangement of the strings from each other is distinguished, which is not very convenient for beginner musicians.

The electric guitar has soft strings, and the pickups allow you to create various sound effects. It’s easier to play an electric guitar, but you have to master new, only inherent in the methods of the game.
