The creator of Games in Kalmara discussed plans for the second season
In an interview with Variety, the author of the South Korean series “Game in Kalmar” Hang Dong-Ju shared his thoughts about a possible continuation of his hit.
“I do not have developed plans for the second season. I get tired of one thought about it. But if I did it, it’s definitely not alone. I would examine the teamwork with the scriptwriters and would like to see several experienced directors, ”said Hang.
The “game in Kalmara” was released on Netflix on September 17 and already managed to lead the list of the most popular streaming service show. According to the president of the platform Ted Sarandos, the “game” may well become the most watched series in the history of Netflix.
The plot of the series is built around the secret game for survival, the prize fund of which is $ 40 million. In the same interview, Variety Hwang also noted that his goal was to create an urgent drama about the dangers of capitalism: “I wanted to write a story in the form of an allegory or fable about a capitalist society that would describe the extreme competition of life.”
